Is it just me or did Black Friday not even really happen this year? I’m not mad about it—nothing makes me want to go out shopping less than having to fight a soccer mom at a Target for a shittier-than-normal television for the deals. Also, sales are a scam! I’ve been suspicious of “big savings” after looking at Kohl’s prices. Everything is always on sale, but they really just mark up the prices so that the sale price is the actual retail price. But we all know this! Isn’t that cool?
Want to get some Christmas shopping done early, but don’t know what to buy for your loved ones? I’ve got some ideas for you!
Baguette: Who doesn’t like a baguette? It’s bread! You should not buy this ahead of time because a good baguette only lasts like a day, a day and a half tops. This is good advice!
Sea Monkeys: Remember these? They haven’t been popular for decades at this point, but they might be a cool little pet for a big adult with an important job to have at their desk.
Hacky Sack: Very cool stuff.
Slinky: If you haven’t noticed I’m still very into toys I won at the local Chuck E. Cheese in 2003.
A Stack of Post-It Notes: Very practical and useful for someone working from home these days.
Socks: You can never go wrong with gifting someone socks. Personally, I’m always losing them somehow, so I love getting more.
A Hockey Stick: It’s never too late for someone to start their sports dream, even if it is too late.
A Thrift Store CD Find: For the one person you know who still uses technology old enough to have a disk drive.
Coal: Let someone know they’ve made the naughty list this year (or that you want them to grill you something on a charcoal grill) by giving them coal.
